Julekake Christmas Tree

December 8, 2019 This post may contain affiliate links.

Fill your house with the sweet smell of freshly baked bread this holiday season and dress up your dinner table with this festive  Julekake Christmas tree. This traditional Norweigian bread is filled with dried and candied fruits and looks merry when shaped like a Christmas tree.

Christmas Tree Julekake decorated with red and green candied cherries.

If you are looking for a way to dress up your bread for Christmas dinner, brunch, or breakfast, you are going to want to make this Julekake Christmas Tree.

Not only does it look really festive but it tastes extraordinary too.

The sweet bread is a traditional Norwegian recipe.

Bake a Christmas tree shaped Julekake for Christmas this year and top it with red and green candied cherries and a sprinkling of powdered sugar.

It’s a sweet egg bread that is loaded with dried and candied fruits.

I chose to fill my Julekake with dried cherries, raisins, and candied cherries, but you can use your favorite fruits and even add nuts.

You can see the recipe and instructions to make this Christmas Tree Julekake at Dixie Crystals.

I’ve never made a julekake! It’s so beautiful, sounds delicious and I love the dusting of powdered sugar.
