Strawberry Madeleines

July 10, 2020 This post may contain affiliate links.

Strawberry Madeleines are delicate little cake-like shell-shaped cookies loaded with freeze-dried strawberries and lemon zest.

If you enjoy a light and delicate cookie that’s bursting with fruit flavor you will love these Strawberry Madeleines.

If you have never had a Madeleine, they are a cross between a cookie and a cake. They have a soft delicate crumb with a crisp exterior.

I was asked to create this recipe for my gig with Dixie Crystals and I am so thrilled to share it with you.

I always test the recipe several times before finalizing it and my husband and I have really enjoyed snacking on all of these delicious treats.

The Madeleines are packed with strawberry and lemon flavor and are a wonderfully refreshing little dessert.

In my recipe testing, I tried using fresh strawberries which tasted quite lovely but they had to be consumed within one day and they didn’t have a really strong strawberry flavor. So, I opted to use freeze-dried strawberries which enhanced the shelf life of the cookies and gave them a much more intense and delicious strawberry flavor.

Hop over to Dixie Crystals’ website to see the recipe to make these Strawberry Madeleines.
