These cute reindeer OREOs are handmade with love and will be the perfect addition to your holiday cookie platters, teacher gifts, or stocking stuffers.
They are easy enough to make that your kids will have fun helping.
I plan to serve these on my favorite cookie platter at our Christmas Eve party along with Snowmen OREOs, Gingerbread OREOs, Penguin OREOs, and more Christmas OREOs.
Let's get busy making a herd of reindeer cookies for Christmas.
Ingredients
- White Fudge Covered OREO Cookies - If you can't find these cookies, you can dip OREOs in white candy melts (almond bark or melting wafers).
- orange slices - You'll cut the orange slices into carrots to create the snowmen's noses. See below for alternative ideas.
- black food coloring marker - Adding eyes and a smile using a black food coloring maker keeps this food craft super easy. You could also pipe on melted candy melts or chocolate.
- sugar - If you use orange slices to make the carrot noses, you'll need to dip the cut edges into sugar.
Alternative Snowmen Noses
You can use orange candy-coated sunflower seeds like I did to make these Snowman Pretzels.
The noses on these Snowman Cupcakes are made out of orange modeling chocolate.
This fun Snowman Pretzel Craft is made with noses created out of orange candy melts.
To make these Hot Chocolate Bomb Snowmen, I used an orange food coloring marker to draw on a nose.
Supplies
- sharp knife - You'll use this to shave excess chocolate off around your OREO Cookies.
- kitchen scissors
Instructions
Let's get crafting!
Shave off excess chocolate around the OREO.
Make your White Fudge Covered OREOs look pretty by shaving off any excess white chocolate around the edge of the cookie using a sharp knife.
NOTE: I took a picture of the milk chocolate Fudge Covered OREOS for my Reindeer OREO post and it was easier to see the milk chocolate shavings than white chocolate shavings.
Make the snowmen's nose.
Cut teardrop-shaped carrots out of an orange slice using kitchen scissors or a knife. You will need the bottom side of your orange slice carrot to be sticky!!!
Coat any other cut parts with sugar.
Attach the candy nose to the OREO.
Press the sticky side of the orange slice nose to the OREO. You want the carrot to be placed slightly above the center of the cookie.
Add eyes and smile.
Use a black food coloring marker to draw on two coal-shaped eyes and a smile made out of seven dots (pieces of coal).
That's it! These cute Christmas treats couldn't be easier to make.
I hope your family and friends love them.
