Amaze your Halloween party guests with this Pumpkin Popcorn Bowl that is not only filled with white chocolate popcorn but is made of it too. The edible orange bowl is decorated to look like a Jack-O-Lantern and it will make an amazing centerpiece on your Halloween dessert table.
This edible Popcorn Bowl Jack-O-Lantern is going to be smack dab in the middle of my dessert table this weekend at our Pumpkin Carving Party along with Peanut Butter Pumpkin Cookies, Mini Pumpkin Cheesecakes, Chocolate Caramel Pumpkins, Pumpkin Truffles, and more.
I just know my guests are going to flip when they see it. My friends and family love my white chocolate popcorn and I always have lots of it on hand for my parties.
This year, instead of serving the popcorn in a plastic bowl, I thought it would be more fun to serve it in one of my edible popcorn bowls.
As soon as I made the first bowl, pictured above, a few months ago, I imagined how it would look decorated for holidays and was certain it would look great as a Jack-O-Lantern for Halloween.
I think this bowl turned out great and I am excited to serve it at our party.
Let me show you how to make one.

Instructions
Make orange popcorn.
Pour 1.8 ounces (9 cups) of popped popcorn into a large mixing bowl.
Pour 20 ounces of orange-colored white chocolate or candy melts over popcorn, and toss to coat.
Shape the popcorn bowl.
Immediately pour the popcorn into the plastic bowl (mold) and start pressing it into the bottom and up the sides of the bowl.
Repeat, making a 2nd batch of coated popcorn, continuing up the sides of the bowl.
As you add popcorn, you might need to allow it to begin to harden slightly before it will stick easily to the bowl, not your hands.
For my very large bowl, I needed to make a third batch of candy-coated popcorn. You want the sides of the popcorn bowl to be about 1 ½ inches thick.
Pack it in tightly, filling in any big holes.
Pop the bowl in the freezer for 15 minutes.
Un-mold the bowl.
Remove from the freezer, carefully turn the bowl upside down, and pull the popcorn bowl out.
It should pop out easily, so be careful to hold onto the popcorn so it doesn't just fall out.
Cut out Jack-O-Lantern Faces
Roll out your dark modeling chocolate or black fondant and cut out a jack-o-lantern face using metal cutters or a knife.
Attach them to the pumpkin popcorn bowl using some melted chocolate or candy melts.
Make Halloween Popcorn
To make your Halloween Popcorn, break up the Halloween Oreo Cookies into small pieces.
Pour 1.8 ounces of popped popcorn into a large mixing bowl.
Pour in 16 ounces of melted and tempered white chocolate or melted white candy melts and add the Oreos, Reese's Pieces, Toffee Bits, and Caramel Bits.
Toss together to coat.
Spread ½ of the popcorn onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Immediately press some pumpkin-shaped pretzels on top.
Spread the remaining popcorn onto another baking sheet and add more pretzels.
Drizzle with chocolate.
Drizzle orange and dark chocolate over the top of the popcorn.
Refrigerate or freeze for 10-15 minutes.
Remove and allow it to come to room temperature.
Break apart into bite-size pieces.
Fill the Pumpkin Popcorn Bowl with the Halloween Popcorn.
Storage
I stored my popcorn bowl in a 5-gallon popcorn tin. I set the bowl on the inside of the lid and put the base over top. This will keep my white chocolate popcorn fresh for over a month.
If you don't have an airtight container that is large enough for the popcorn bowl to fit inside, then wrap it in plastic wrap and keep it on your counter for a few days. It will last about a week but will be freshest if eaten within three days.
