    25 Fun Fiesta Foods for Cinco de Mayo

    Celebrate Cinco de Mayo by putting a twist on some authentic Mexican foods!
    These Fun Fiesta Foods will spice up your party night with your amigos.

    Fun Fiesta Foods 

    Cinco de Mayo or "Fifth of May" commemorates the victory of the Mexican militia over the French army in the Battle of Puebla in 1862.

    Although Cinco de Mayo is a national holiday in Mexico, it is mainly observed in the Mexican state of Puebla and in the United States where festivities surrounding this holiday began when word of the victory spread to Mexican miners in California.

    I'm in the process of updating this post because many of the recipes that I originally shared are no longer available online. I'll be adding more soon.

    Break open one of these colorful Sombrero Cookies to reveal the surprise inside! These festive candy filled treats will be perfect for Cinco de Mayo or a Fiesta.

    These Sombrero Pinata Cookies are bright and colorful hat-shaped cookies filled with candy. Kids and adults alike will love them!

    Scoop vanilla ice cream into a fried tortilla boat covered in cinnamon sugar then drizzle on some dulce de leche (caramel) sauce, add a swirl of whipped cream and some crunchy cinnamon sugar tortilla bits to make this dreamy Churro Sundae.

    Serve a deliciously crunchy and creamy Churro Sundae in a fried tortilla boat for dessert on Cinco de Mayo.

    Hot taco dip is an easy appetizer to make for a New Year's Eve party, a Super Bowl party, or just about any party.

    This hot taco dip is filled with ground beef, cheese, tomatoes, olives, and jalapeno peppers. It's great served with tortilla chips or corn chips.

    Chicken Enchilada Bowls filled with four kinds of cheese, chicken thighs, Poblano Peppers, and corn served on white square plates alongside a bowl of shredded cheese.

    Fry up some corn tortilla bowls then fill them with chicken, enchilada sauce, poblano peppers, corn, and cheese. These chicken enchilada bowls make a great meal.
