Peeps for Breakfast? I’ve enjoyed many a Peep for breakfast, but none quite as satisfying as this
Egg, Ham and Cheese Breakfast Pizza Peeps I made as part of a post sponsored by Wilton.
One of the perks of being a brand ambassador is getting all sorts of fun new products to try out and I am always super excited when the boxes from Wilton arrive. This year they have expanded their line of Peeps shaped bakeware to include a really cool pan which I used to make my breakfast pizza Peep.
I realize the pan was intended for cookies, but you know me, I can’t do what’s intended. It’s more fun to think outside the box and to create something that the inventors of the pan didn’t even imagine.
I’m pretty sure they didn’t expect me to use the pan to make this breakfast pizza.
Being Peeps come in a variety of spring colors these pizzas can be topped with white cheese which allows the yellow eggs to show through or orange cheese or even pink or purple cheese.
What? Who makes pink or purple cheese?
You do.
It’s really easy to color grated cheese. Simply pour the cheese into a zip top bag, add a drop of liquid food coloring and shake until all the cheese is colored, adding more coloring if needed.
Wouldn’t it be fun to have a whole bunch of different colored Pizza Peeps on your table this Easter?
You can get creative with your pizza toppings adding anything you like in your eggs.
One thing you might want to do so that your Peeps don’t have spots, like mine do, is to put the meat under the eggs. I mixed the ham into the eggs as I cooked them, so my bunnies have pieces of ham showing through. When I make these again, I’ll be sure to put the ham under the eggs.
Be sure to send me pictures of your Pizza Peeps. I’d love to see how creative you get with this idea.

Step-by-step instructions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Unroll the pizza dough and lay it over the Peeps pan. Cut the dough around the edge of the pan.
Bake for 8 minutes.
Remove from oven and top with ham and eggs. Bake for 6-8 minutes until heated through.
Remove from oven and sprinkle grated cheese over top.
Slice jumbo olives and cut 3 small circles out. I used a round plunger cutter to cut mine, but you can had cut them, use a small cookie cutter, or simply cut off the ends of the olives and use them.Place the olive circles on your pizza to create two eyes and one nose.
Serve immediately.
You will have scraps of pizza dough left after making one large Peep pizza and you can simply bake the scraps of dough and enjoy a little snack or you can press pieces of the dough into the new Wilton Silicone Peeps mold. Baked them for about 12 minutes and you’ll have some cute dinner rolls.
I would have shown you a picture of the finished Peeps dinner rolls but they were devoured by some hungry friends who were visiting.
Thankfully they ate those or I might not have gotten a picture of my finished pizza, either.

This is the cutest!! I love finding cute holdiday food that isn't sweet. These are my kind of Peeps!! (Following you via the Wonderful Wednesday Blog Hop)
This is so adorable! I bet that my kids would love to see something like this one the table Easter morning!
The breakfast pizza is such fun and different idea! Hey, I have an idea for April Fools Day … tell the kids that you are serving Peeps for breakfast. First, they will think that Mom has lost her mind, but are sure to be happy when they see the breakfast pizza!
LOL! If I had kids they wouldn't be very surprised if I told them we were having Peeps for breakfast. At Easter I have to admit that Peeps might be the first bite of food that goes into my mouth in the morning:)
I remember making valentine pizza's for the girls when they were young, but I never thought of making a peep pizza – So fun, the possibilities are endless!
What a fun idea I love that you have made a savory treat. My son would LOVE this.
Thanks Linda:)
First thing I wondered was HOW do you make colored cheese. Next sentence told us how. Bet in Wilton's wildest dreams did they EVER expect anyone to make a pizza in their peep pan!!! You are definitely an outside the box person & that's wonderful. Keeps a smile on our faces every time you create something new. Peep pizza in different colors when making them for a party – different color – different type of meat. What a novel concept.
Now I'm wondering if the peep rolls can be dyed. Whoo-hoo
At the check out counter last night I spotted YOUR cheese chicks (photo at bottom of this post) on the cover of Celebration magazine. Congratulations!. They are so adorable. Your creations are so recognizable – the best of the best. I saved that photo from when you first posted them and look at them whenever I need a smile. Just think – you're a Cover Girl – Again.
Thanks for the peep pizza. Even people who don't like the sugary peeps can't help but love a peep pizza.

Thanks, Tavette,
Coloring cheese is quite easy, and I think having a variety of these pizzas for Easter brunch or breakfast would be so much fun.
I had originally planned to brush the little Peeps dinner rolls with butter and sprinkle on colored cheese. They never made it to that point as they were eaten too quickly. I'll try it next time.
I'll have to go check out the Celebration Magazine, as I did not give any approval for my chicks to be on the cover. It wont be the first time someone has replicated my idea in a national media outlet without my approval. Oh, well, that's the life of a blogger, I guess.
Happy Easter!
Beth, you have no idea how hard it is to find cute holiday food that isn't sweet! Well, perhaps you do, because you really deliver in that area! Designs like this one are exceptional and allow a fun "Kids' Table" to serve food that is cute, but NOT loaded with sugar! THANK YOU!
You are welcome! I do know how hard it is to find fun savory dishes for holidays so I try to do at least one for each holiday each year. This Easter, I've made several! It is more challenging, but I love the challenge:)
