Celebrate Memorial Day, 4th of July, or Labor Day with some double Popping Firework Oreo Cookies. With each bite, you'll enjoy the sweet sensation of fireworks popping in your mouth.
Popping Firework Oreo Cookies
Do you remember trying popping candy for the first time?
I remember being with friends and we all sprinkled some candy into our hands then popped them in our mouths at the same time. Then the giggling commenced.
Tasting the sweet sugar crystals and feeling the tiny explosions was unlike anything we had ever experienced. We all opened our mouths at the same time so we could hear our harmonious popping and couldn't stop laughing. We thought it was the coolest candy ever.
So, you can only imagine how I felt when I saw the new Firework Oreo Cookies. They have sprinkled popping candy in the vanilla cream filling!
When I took my first bite I felt like a kid again. Every time I crunched the cookie I felt the candy pop. The flavor is surprisingly good. The little fruit flavor from the popping candy is a nice compliment to the chocolate and vanilla cookie.
As soon as I was finished with my first cookie I had concocted the idea to make these cookies double popping by dipping them in white candy melts and sprinkling on some Pop Rocks.
To make them festive for Memorial Day, 4th of July, or Labor Day I also tossed on some red, white, and blue star sprinkles. Now they look as fun as they taste.
