Rainbow colored Peeps Popcorn Balls are simple to make using 3 ingredients and will brighten up your dessert table or basket this Easter.

How much do you love the bright color combination in these popcorn balls?

You will love how simple they are to make too!

Just grab a variety of colored marshmallow Peeps, melt them with some butter, stir in popcorn, and have fun creating a bunch of multi-colored popcorn balls. It's as easy as that.

Multi-colored Peeps Popcorn Balls are simple to make using 3 ingredients and will brighten up your dessert table or basket this Easter.

The popcorn balls taste just like they were made using traditional marshmallows so even if you aren't a fan of eating Peeps directly from their package, you'll love these marshmallow popcorn balls if you enjoy rice krispies treats or popcorn balls.

The colorful sugar coating on the Peeps adds just a bit more sweetness to the popcorn balls and adds all the vibrant color to them as well. You don't need to add any food coloring.

Watch this VIDEO TUTORIAL to see how easy they are to make.

Things to consider when making Peeps Popcorn Balls:

    • If you plan to make these at a time of year when Peeps are not on store shelves, then you can swap out traditional marshmallows for the Peeps and use food coloring to color the popcorn balls or sprinkle in some colored sugar if you'd like the added sweetness.
    • Butter your hands when forming the balls so the popcorn won't stick.
    • Allow the marshmallow coated popcorn to cool slightly before handling, but don't get too distracted while waiting and allow the popcorn to sit for a long time or the popcorn may harden too much and make it difficult to make your Peeps Popcorn Balls.

Other fun treats you can make using Peeps:

Peeps S'mores - Melt chocolate and Peeps in between two graham crackers to make a quick and easy Easter dessert.

Peeps Cupcakes - These cupcakes are filled, topped, and decorated with Peeps.

Chocolate Peeps Pops - Chocolate dipped Peeps make great Easter basket fillers.

I have a mini bunny pan by Wilton, can I use the popcorn ball recipe and press it into my wilton pans? Do I need to spray the pan with non-stick coating first? I've never made popcorn balls before.

That sounds like a fun idea! Definitely spray the pan with baking spray (or grease with butter). You'll want to also spray your fingers so they don't stick to the popcorn balls while you are pressing them into the pan.

I'd love to see pictures of them! You can send it to beth@hungryhappenings.com.

        Have fun!

Thank you for sharing the recipe, this colorful balls are so cute! My homemade popcorn often turns soft and soggy fast, I'm gonna put them into container after making.

I'm so glad you like them! The best place to store popcorn balls is in a metal tin.

How long will these last? I want to make them for a birthday party but it would be great if I could make them ahead of time.

If you keep them stored in an airtight container they should last about a week!
