Have fun with your kids and make a fun Halloween Craft! This spooky Mummy Bucket is so easy to make and can be filled with your favorite Halloween candies!

Last year we hosted our kid's Halloween party and many of the neighborhood kids attended. They all created a mummy bucket to use on Beggars' Night.
It was so fun to see them come to my door and shout "Trick or Treat" while holding out their crafty pail to receive their treat.
This project is so simple that with a little guidance even very young kids can create their own bucket. If you decide to do this project this Halloween, try to buy your buckets at the end of the summer. They go on clearance then and you will have a lot of pails to choose from.
Supplies

1 beach pail (any color)
1 roll of gauze (3" x 4.5')*
2 wiggly eyes
glue (or double stick tape)
*I purchased these short rolls of gauze at the dollar store.

Squeeze glue out in three lines down one side of your bucket (or put one or two strips of double stick tape down one side of your bucket).
Stick one end of the gauze over the glue and begin to wrap the gauze around the bucket.

Wrap the gauze up and around the bucket gently pressing it into the glue. The end of the gauze will most likely not end up over the glue or tape, so glue or tape it down.
Pull two layers of gauze apart a few inches down from the top of the bucket.

Glue or tape two wiggly eyes onto the bucket. I like to use two different size eyes to make the mummy look a little silly.

Each of these mummy buckets will cost just a few dollars and can be used for Trick or Treat or can be filled with candy and given as gifts.

i have memories of those houses you could not miss. my neighborhood never did much, but we'd go to other places and it was a lot of fun. i know one street had a lot of their neighbors at ONE house so you'd go in a circle in the yard and grab from each bucket.

it all depends on my mood... but 1 common ingredient seems to be chocolate! (peanut butter cups, milky way, and can't leave out a big, thick plain bar of chocolate...)

It's a tossup between M&Ms and candy corn. I don't dare keep either one around. 😉

A couple of years ago, I was walking with my kids and this guy, dressed up as a zombie was following us. My kids were little at the time, so I didn't say anything to them, but boy was I wierded out. I was actually afraid. I told them that we were done for the night and that I had more treats for them at home and we headed directly home.
Thanks again
