Football Pizza Cake

August 25, 2015 This post may contain affiliate links.

Football season has kicked off and it’s time to create some festive food to serve while you are rooting on your favorite team. Cut into this Football Pizza Cake to reveal layers of pizza crust topped with zesty sauce, gooey mozzarella cheese, and loads of pepperoni.

This hearty appetizer will feed a crowd of hungry football fans whether you are watching the game on the big screen in your living room or are tailgating in the parking lot.

When I was asked to create a football shaped pizza cake for Tablespoon.com, I really had no idea what it would take. I’d seen pictures of the pizza cakes all over Pinterest, but had not been up close and personal with one. To my surprise, it was super simple to make.

To get the pizza cake in the shape of a football I simply lined a Wilton football cake pan with Pillsbury pizza dough and built my layers.

If you want to make one of these Football Pizza Cakes for the big game, head over to Tablespoon.com to check out my recipe and tutorial, but first be sure to get yourself a Wilton Football Pan.

They are available on Amazon.com (commission earned for sales.)

Thanks, Karen. Personally, I’d stuff my pizza with ham and pineapple, but my husband loved this pepperoni stuffed pizza. He at the entire thing:)
