Are you ready for another chocolate pretzel craft?

I just had to create Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer out of chocolate dipped pretzels.

These were probably the easiest decorated chocolate pretzels I’ve made yet.

They are so easy, in fact, that I’m going to just get right to the tutorial so you can go have some fun making your own reindeer.

CHOCOLATE PRETZEL REINDEER

Ingredients: (makes 20-24 reindeer)

1 – 2 bags Snyder’s of Hanover Pretzel Dipping Sticks (some will be broken, so you may need 2 bags)
18 ounces melted and tempered pure milk chocolate or melted Light Cocoa confectionery coating*
40-48 caramels
20-24 red candy melts or Mega M&M’s
40-48 jumbo candy eyes

*See detailed information regarding using Candy Melts/Confectionery Coating and Pure Chocolate on my Chocolate Making Tips page. You will have extra chocolate leftover after dipping. Add some broken pretzels to it and spread it out on some parchment paper. Refrigerate until set, break, and enjoy a snack.

Supplies:

chocolate dipping fork or kitchen fork
parchment paper lined baking pans

Dip pretzels into chocolate, line them up, and decorate to look like turkeys for Thanksgiving. See how at HungryHappenings.com.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set one pretzel at a time in the chocolate. Remove using a dipping fork, allow excess to drip off, then set on parchment paper. Dip another pretzel and set it next to the first. Continue until you have 5 pretzels attached together.

Refrigerate for 3-4 minutes until the chocolate sets.

Repeat creating 20-24 groupings of chocolate dipped pretzels.

Unwrap your caramels, flatten them, then cut into antler shapes using kitchen scissors.

Attach two caramel antlers, two candy eyes, and 1 red nose to the chocolate pretzels using melted chocolate.

If you don’t want all your reindeer to be Rudolph, you can use brown noses instead of red.

Have fun!

Oh – I can see the price of pretzel dipping sticks soaring after people get this post AND your snowman post. 🙂 Better get mine now so they’re not sold out. Both SOOOO cute! I was thinking of putting a treat in a cello bag and then Rudolph or the snowman in another bag and tying them on to the bow.

You must dream in chocolate and that’s very LUCKY for us!
