I'm always looking for cool ways to make cupcakes even more appealing than they already are. An Edible Rudolph Cupcake Wrappers will make your treat better looking and tasting.

Morgan from Mighty Delighty created THE most adorable Rudolph cupcake wrapper ever.
As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to make it edible. I was thrilled when Morgan agreed to allow me to replicate her printable cupcake wrapper design out of modeling chocolate.
UPDATE: Sadly, this cupcake wrapper is no longer online.

I've made several chocolate cupcake wrappers for the holiday season and look forward to sharing them all with you, but I am most excited about this one. Rudolph's big red nose and bright cheerful smile, just make me giggle.
They are so sweet.

In order to make this edible cupcake wrapper, I had to hand-cut this design as I couldn't find just the right cookie cutters. It was no problem though, as I was able to download the printable version of Morgan's cupcake wrapper, cut out around it, and use it as a template for my wrapper. It worked great.
Morgan has another really cute cupcake wrapper featuring a snowman looking up to the sky too. It would also look super cute made out of modeling chocolate. I hope to find some time this winter to make some.

Edible Rudolph Cupcake Wrappers
You'll Need:
modeling chocolate*
green, red, brown, black candy coloring*
red food coloring marker
3 printed Rudolph cupcake wrapper templates (cut out one curved piece, then cut out the nose, scarf, head, mouth, and antlers)
cupcakes and frosting
*You can use all white modeling chocolate and just use coloring to make the green, red, brown, and black or you can use white for the green, white and red, milk chocolate for the light brown, and dark chocolate for the dark brown.
Instructions

Roll modeling chocolate out to 1/16th inch thickness. I find it easiest to roll out on a non-stick baking mat using a fondant roller. You can also roll it out between the plastic of a zip-top bag, or on a cutting board lightly dusted with powdered sugar.
Set modeling chocolate on a cutting board.
See my White Chocolate Snowman Cupcake Wrapper tutorial for instructions on making the green-colored modeling chocolate cupcake wrappers.
Use the cut-out template pieces as your guide to cut out a red nose, a light brown head and neck, dark brown antlers and mouth, and a white scarf. Use a red food coloring marker to add stripes to the scarf. Brush the back sides of each piece of modeling chocolate with water and attach the pieces together.

Wrap the cupcake wrappers around your cupcakes, sealing the edges by brushing them lightly with water and pressing them together. If the modeling chocolate has hardened too much and won't stick together, rub the water into the ends of the strips, making them sticky, and then press them together.
Pipe on a big swirl of frosting then serve.
I suggest wrapping your cupcakes the day you will use them. You can make the cupcake wrappers ahead of time and store them in an airtight container to keep them flexible. Modeling chocolate hardens a bit as it dries and will have the consistency of a Tootsie Roll. It will hold its shape well, but still be soft enough to easily bite into. Keeping the cupcake wrappers stored in Tupperware or Rubbermaid containers will help to keep the modeling chocolate soft and flexible. Do NOT refrigerate.
These cupcakes are meant to be eaten using a fork, and the entire thing is edible.
