    Pretzel Dogs

Published: Jan 23, '18 · Modified: Feb 13, '23 · By: Beth · This post may contain affiliate links.

Football fans of all ages will cheer when you serve these Pretzel Dogs Topped with French's® Crispy Fried Jalapeños at your big game tailgating or homegating party. This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of McCormick & Company. The opinions and text are mine.

Have you seen the new French's® Crispy Fried Jalapeños at Kroger yet?

Just like their ever popular Crispy Fried Onions, French's Crispy Fried Jalapeños are made using real jalapeños and will fire up any dish. You can sprinkle these crunchy little jalapeño pepper pieces over the top of your tacos, salads, pizzas, and these pretzel dogs to add a spicy kick!

If you are gearing up for the big game and are planning to host a tailgating party then you should definitely plan to add these Crispy Fried Jalapeños to your shopping list.

Jalapeno Pretzel Dogs Recipe for Super Bowl

When I was asked to incorporate French's Jalapeño Pretzel Dogs recipe into a Big Game Tailgating and Homegating party post, I was excited. Whenever I create food for football viewing parties, I know that my guests will be thrilled to find snacks that have a fun twist and this recipe couldn't be a better fit.

These spicy pretzel-wrapped hot dogs are so quick and easy to make using store-bought pizza dough and your favorite hot dogs and are perfectly paired with French's Mustard and Ketchup.

Pretzel Hot Dogs with Crispy Jalapenos for the big game!

Whether you prefer to dip your pretzel dogs into French's Classic Yellow Mustard, made with #1-grade mustard seeds, or in French's non-GMO, gluten-free, and high-fructose corn syrup-free ketchup, you can rest assured that both of these French's condiments are made with no artificial colors, flavors or preservative.

Beginning January 21st, check for coupon inserts in your local newspaper for the French’s products at Kroger and Kroger retailers which is the perfect incentive to get into the kitchen to make these fun game-time snacks.

Serve French's Jalapeno Pretzel Dogs for your tailgating or homegating party.

These Jalapeño Pretzel Dogs are so easy to make, and while they are baking you should have plenty of time to decorate your table for the big game.

This tablescape was super easy to throw together. I simply covered my table with a plastic football field tablecloth, strung some football pennants on the wall, and served my food in various football-themed bowls and cups. My party guests were able to pile their football-shaped paper plates full of game-day snacks including pretzels, nuts, chips, and French fries.

I arranged the pretzel dogs coming out of football field paper bowls which were sturdy enough to keep the hot dogs upright so they were the star of the show. I served my French's Classic Yellow Mustard and Ketchup in cute little football-themed shot glasses so each guest could dunk their pretzel dogs into their favorite condiment.

How to make jalapeno pretzel dogs using pizza dough.

    To make these pretzel dogs:

    • Boil your hot dogs for 3 minutes.
    • Meanwhile, cut ½-inch wide strips of pizza dough.
    • Remove hot dogs and pat them dry.
    • Wrap a piece of dough around the hot dog.
    • Stir 3 tablespoons of baking soda into 1 cup of hot dog water.
    • Dip each dough-wrapped hot dog in the water then roll in crushed-up French's Crispy Jalapeños.
    • Bake for about 10 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit until golden brown.
    • Serve with French's Classic Yellow Mustard and French's Ketchup.

Have fun making these Pretzel Dogs Topped with French's Crispy Fried Jalapeños for your big game tailgating or homegating party.
