These Googly Eyed Cake Pops are silly and fun and will be perfect to serve at your Halloween party. Each cake pop monster looks furry and so cute with its big googly eyes.
While walking around Michaels aimlessly, I ran across a little bag full of Googly eyed ring favors. Right then and there, I knew what I had to do…buy them and make them into something edible and cute.
Besides finding the little Googly eyed party favors, I found plastic cake pop sticks and gingham ribbon.
After baking and cooling your cake, break it apart and put into Cuisinart and pulse until combined.
I like to have the cake balls all the same size, so most of the time I use the ball shape mold from My Little Cupcake.
After you’ve made the balls, dip the end of a cake pop stick in a dab of black candy melts and insert into the cake ball. This way the stick stays in place.
Next, push the Googly eyes into the top of the cake pop, making an indentation. Remove the Googly eyes and set aside.
Using the grass tip #233, fill a pastry bag with buttercream frosting and start from the bottom all around your cake pop until they are completely covered in “fur”.
Once the cake pop is covered with black frosting “fur” stick the bottom of the Googly eyes into the black candy melts and place in the top of the cake pop. Pipe a little more black icing “fur” in between the eyes. Now they’re looking right back at ya~
All eyes are on you!
Thanks for Looking!

I’ll Be Back!
Hi! I’m Kim, the girl behind the pink hair…
I love to plan and host parties and show how to recreate them from start to finish. I also love making cute edible sweets, where I turn anything plain into a party. I hope you enjoy my creations for HUNGRY HAPPENINGS and party along with me each week.
Googly eyes make me smile … everytime 🙂 Adorable!
Thank you Brenda, aren't Googly eyes fun?
I love all of Beth's cute googly eyed treats. Yours are too cute! I haven't seen these eyes at Michael's, but I'll be "looking" for them! Love it. :o)
I agree, Beth has got me in the Googly eye mode! After the cake pop is eaten, then are such fun little favors, I hope you can find them!
So cute, Kim! Perfect for Halloween!
Thank you Sue, they were fun to make!
Oh my, I LOVE them!
I do not have a lot of experience with cake pops yet. Is there a reason you chose the buttercream for piping over the candy melt?. I have seen piped candy melt before, but have only tried it with a leaf tip once.
The only reason I used buttercream was to get the look of fur. Otherwise I use candy melts. So happy you like them thanks for the comment!
