This Rainbow Piñata Cake is a beautifully colored dessert for any occasion! Make this cake for a birthday, St. Patricks Day, or just as a fun treat for a friend.
Every morning I open over 100 e-mails, and the job can be drudgery, but this morning, I found something that really brightened my day. Tablespoon.com sent their newsletter announcing their 4th birthday celebration, and they chose my Rainbow Pinata Cake for the cover of their e-book filled with their Top 40 Rainbow Recipes birthday e-book. How cool is that?
Betty Crocker pound cake made the perfect base for this sturdy cake which is stacked, hollowed out, and filled with candy. Then it’s decorated with fondant. When the cake is sliced the candy is revealed, surprising party guests. I personally prefer candy over cake, and love that I can have both on my dessert plate.
