Make a loaf of Cheese Bread decorated like candy corn for Halloween dinner. Your whole family will enjoy this delicious bread topped with gooey yellow, orange, and white cheese.

Halloween cheese bread decorated like candy corn

I like to think outside of the box when I create fun food for Halloween. Guests at our Halloween parties always expect to find unique appetizers and festive Halloween desserts on the food table.

So, when I came across a Wilton candy corn cake pan, I knew I would do something out of the ordinary with the pan.

Of course, a decorated cake is always fun to serve but I decided to make something savory using the pan instead.

    Candy Corn shaped cheese bread.

I'm always looking for shortcuts when I'm making party food, so I chose to make a candy corn-shaped loaf of bread using a bread mix. You could use my favorite cheese bread recipe if you prefer.

To make the bread look like a big candy corn, I topped it with yellow, orange, and white cheese.

The fun Halloween bread tasted great and was a huge hit with our party guests.

Turn a simple quick bread into this festive Cheese Bread Candy Corn for Halloween.

    Ingredients

box of bread mix - I used a Wilton bread mix that called for adding butter and water or beer. You can use any boxed mix you like.

½ cup of freshly shredded yellow-colored Gouda Cheese - Gouda is naturally yellow, but it isn't quite bright enough to look like the bottom section of a candy corn. To brighten up the cheese, put a drop or two of yellow food coloring in a zip-top bag, add the shredded cheese, and shake. The cheese will become bright yellow within a few shakes.

1 cup of orange Cheddar Cheese, shredded

½ cup white mozzarella cheese, shredded

    Supplies

    candy corn cake pan
    baking sheet

    Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Make the bread mix according to the package instructions.

Grease the candy corn pan with baking spray.

Spread the bread mix in the pan.

    Bake for about 30 minutes.

As soon as the bread comes out of the oven, flip it over, set it on a baking sheet, and sprinkle freshly shredded cheese over top.

Place it back in the oven for a few minutes until the cheese melts. Then serve warm.

    Storage

Store any leftovers on the counter for one day or in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

You can make this bread up to a few days in advance then top with cheese and melt in a 350-degree oven just before your Halloween party.

    Variations

    Cheese Bread Leaves and Pumpkins.

You can also make leaf and pumpkin-shaped cheese bread topped with melted cheese. Check out this Cheese Bread Leaves and Pumpkins recipe for a delicious homemade cheese bread recipe.
