Sombrero Cookies filled with Candy

April 23, 2017 This post may contain affiliate links.

Sombrero Cookies

Bite into one of these Sombrero Cookies to find candy hiding inside. These colorful candy filled cookies will add a touch of whimsy to your Cinco de Mayo party or Mexican fiesta.

Sombrero Cookies

Making piñata cookies is so much fun and I’ve created dozens of candy filled piñata style cookie tutorials over the years.

I love sharing these cookies with family and friends. They are always so impressed with the 3 dimensional aspect of the cookie design. Then they take a bite or break open the cookie and find candy hiding inside and are so delighted with the fun experience.

Pinata style cookies do take some time to create but you can follow my step-by-step instructions and watch my video tutorial so that you can easily recreate your own candy filled cookies at home. You can decorate your cookies using frosting or candy melts. Add sprinkles for some fun then fill the inside with M&M’s minis or any other tiny candies you like.
