    Family Game Night Snacks

Serve some fun desserts for your Family Game Night and you'll win big. Transform brownies into a dice or a tic tac toe game and a cookie into a playing card to add even more fun to your family's game night.

If you are like me and you love to play games, then you probably host or attend game nights for family and friends. My exchange students will tell you that I could play Yahtzee every day. It's true. I love that it is a game of chance. Sometimes lady luck is on my side, other times she's not and that's O.K.

I'm also a huge fan of Clue and Apples to Apples. None of these games made an appearance at my mom's recent game night, but I still had a blast.

Before the party, I whipped up some quick desserts including a 10 of Hearts Fruit Pizza, a Brownie Dice, Tic Tac Toe Brownies, and Game Night Fudge.

Fruit Pizza Playing Card is the perfect dessert for a Family Game Night.

My fruit pizza was a snap to make. I baked up some store-bought cookie dough in a small rectangle pan. Whipped together some cream cheese, marshmallow fluff, and Cool Whip and spread it on the cooled cookie, and topped that with heart-shaped strawberries.

The brownies were just as easy. I spread one Pillsbury Fudge Family Size Brownie mix into two 8-inch square pans. Yes, the brownies were quite thin, but that was perfect for these projects. They baked for about 18 minutes. Once the brownies cooled, I frosted one with more of that cream cheese frosting. The other brownie was cut into 6 round dots for the dice and into 9 small squares for the tic tac toe board. Then I got to snack on the scraps.

My last little treat featured some Dulce De Leche Fudge that had been poured into an 8-inch square pan, cooled, then cut into small pieces. I decorated them by pressing a playing card cookie cutter just partway into the fudge. That's it, they were so simple.

Fun family game night dessert ideas - strawberry fruit pizza playing card, brownie dice, and brownie tic tac toe game.

    Game Night Fruit Pizza

10 of Hearts Fruit Pizza for Game Night

    You'll Need:

1 baked sugar cookie rectangle (about 9 inches x 13 inches)
    8 ounces cream cheese
    1 cup marshmallow fluff
    8 ounces Cool Whip, thawed
    6-12 very large strawberries
1-inch heart-shaped cookie cutter or knife
    ½ inch heart-shaped cutter
    "1" and a "0" cookie cutter

    Instructions:

How to make a strawberry fruit pizza playing card - 1

Beat together the cream cheese, marshmallow fluff, and Cool Whip. Frost the cooled cookie.

Slice strawberries in half from stem to tip. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter or a knife to cut hearts from the strawberries. You can just use the strawberry halves if you prefer, but I wanted my hearts to have a really nice heart shape. Cut some thin slices from a few strawberries and cut two small ½-inch hearts, two number 1's, and two zeros. Pat the strawberries dry.

How to make a strawberry fruit pizza playing card - 2

Arrange the strawberries on your frosted cookie to look like a 10 of heart playing card. That's it. Simple right?

You can keep this in the refrigerator for a few hours. Best served the same day it's made, but believe me left overs will taste pretty good too.

For directions to make the Brownie Dice, Tic Tac Toe Brownie, and the Dulce de Leche Fudge Game Pieces, read the post above. I doubled my batch of frosting when I made all three of the edible crafts for our game night. I had a bit of frosting left over, but that got used for another project.

We used to play board games with my parents every night and then later with my cousins we played canasta and poker.
Those were such a fun times. I don't play anymore 🙁

You should get a board game out and play it again. It really is fun. We had game nights on Fridays when I was a kid. One of the four kids got to choose their favorite game and we'd play while snacking on popcorn.

I love that my exchange students have enjoyed playing games as much as I do. They've even taken American games home with them to share with their families and friends.

The party guests did indeed enjoy them. A lot of times I bring edible crafts to parties, and no one wants to be the first to cut into it and mess it up. No one could wait to cut into these and some guests who arrived late only saw half eaten treats!
