6Vanilla Whopperssmall white malt balls
Instructions
Reese's Cup Unicorn
Unwrap Reese's Cups.
Roll out white candy clay and cut out 2 tear drop shaped ears per unicorn.
Pinch off a small piece of white candy clay and roll into a unicorn horn.
Lightly score across the horn using the back of a knife.
Brush gold luster dust over horn.
Roll out pink candy clay and cut out 1 oval shaped nose for each unicorn.
Brush the ovals with pink luster dust.
Make two indentations in the pink oval to create the unicorn's nostrils using the flat end of a wood skewer.
Attach one pink oval along one edge of a White Reese's Cup using Candy Melts as edible glue.
Let the candy melts dry for a few minutes.
Use your finger to smooth out the edge of the oval so that the top edge of the oval slopes down to the edge of the Reese's Cup.
Brush more pink luster dust over the oval.
Attach two candy clay ears and the horn opposite the pink nose.
Roll pink, purple, yellow and blue candy clay into ¼ thick logs.
Arrange the four logs into one thick log and squeeze together into a log that will fit into the clay extruder.
Fit the clay extruder with a multi hole disc.
Extrude the colorful candy clay through the extruder creating long strands of rainbow colored hair.
Cut off a 1 ½ inch long section of the hair.
Pinch together one end and drape it over the Reese's Cup in between one ear and the horn.
Press the candy clay hair onto the back edge of the Reese's Cup. It should stick all on it's own, but if it doesn't, brush some candy melts over it to hold it in place.
Cut off the hair on the front of the Reese's Cup if needed so that the unicorn's mane hangs just below the bottom edge of the horn.
Repeat adding hair in between the other ear and horn.
Candy Clay Rainbow
Roll yellow candy clay into a log and insert it into a clay extruder that is fitted with a small single hole plate.
Extrude a long strand of yellow onto your work surface.
Do the same creating a long strand of green, blue, and purple candy clay.
Press the four strands together then cut off 2 inch long sections and form them into rainbows cutting off the excess as needed to make a nice straight bottom edge.
Brush white candy melts over the rainbow and allow that to dry.
Turn the rainbows over so that the colorful side is facing up.
Assemble the Cupcakes
Pipe a big tall swirl of frosting onto each cupcake.
Snuggle a Reese's Cup Unicorn into the frosting near the top portion of the swirl.
If needed pipe a bit more frosting behind the unicorn in order to get the Reese's Cup to stay upright.
Press two Vanilla Whoppers below the unicorn creating two hooves.
Set a candy clay rainbow in the frosting in between the hooves to make it look like the unicorn is holding the rainbow.
