This hot cheeseburger dip served in a ceramic football shaped bowl is topped with crumbled bacon and decorated with sour cream football laces and makes a great appetizer for a Super Bowl party.

  • 3/4 pound bacon, cut into small pieces
  • 1 pound ground sirloin
  • salt, garlic salt, and black pepper, to season meat
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1/3 cup sour cream, plus more for decoration
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened and cut into small cubes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  1. Place the bacon pieces in a large skillet and set over medium-high heat.
  2. Cook until crispy.
  3. Remove the bacon and all but 1 tablespoon of the fat from the skillet.
  4. Season the ground sirloin with salt, garlic salt, and pepper.

  5. Brown half of the ground sirloin in the hot skillet.
  6. Remove the browned hamburger from the skillet.
  7. If needed, add more bacon grease to the pan.
  8. Brown the remaining ground sirloin in the pan.
  9. Add the other hamburger back into the pan and reduce the heat to low.

  10. Stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and yellow mustard.

  11. Then stir in 1/3 cup sour cream, the cream cheese, and cheddar cheese.

  12. Once all the cheese has melted toss in the diced tomatoes and stir just to combine.

  13. Spoon the hot cheeseburger dip into a ceramic football bowl.
  14. Spread it into an even layer.
  15. Top it with the bacon.
  16. Pour the sour cream into a zip top bag and snip off a tip.
  17. Pipe a line going across the football then add some laces going across that line.
  18. Serve immediately.
