Ingredients
Peanut Butter Cookies
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon table salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste or pure vanilla extract
Decorations
  • 4 ounces Wilton Light Cocoa Candy Melts, melted
  • 4 ounces Wilton Peanut Butter Candy Melts, melted
  • 44 - 1/2 inch candy eyes
  • 22 orange candy coated sunflower seeds
  • 22 red candy coated sunflower seeds
  • 44 orange leaf sprinkles
  • 44 to 66 orange jimmies
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degree Fahrenheit.
  2. Blend flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt together. Then set aside.
  3. Beat butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add egg and mix to combine.
  5. Stir in the vanilla.
  6. Add the dry ingredients and mix just until combined.
  7. Scoop tablespoon size balls of dough into 22 of the brownie pops molds cavities.
  8. Bake for 16-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Remove and allow the cookies to cool completely.
  10. Pop the cookies out of the mold.
Decorations
  1. Fill disposable pastry bags with the Candy Melts.
  2. Pipe the outer edge of the turkey's tail feathers using the Light Cocoa Candy Melts onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
  3. Pipe the interior of the feathers using the Peanut Butter Candy Melts.
  4. Freeze for about 5 minutes until hardened.
  5. Repeat until you have 22 tail feather candies.
  6. Use Light Cocoa Candy Melts to attach two candy eyes, a orange sunflower beak, a red sunflower wattle, two orange leaf sprinkle feet, and two or three orange jimmie head feathers onto the one side of the peanut butter cookie.
  7. Attach the tail feathers to the opposite side so that the tops of the feathers rise above the top of the cookie.
  8. Set aside until all the decorations have attached firmly.
  9. Store in an airtight container until Thanksgiving.
