I wish I had time to post lots of new recipe ideas before New Year’s eve but with only a few days between two major holidays it is hard to find time to make the recipes and write the posts so that you have time to re-create them for your parties. So, I decided to create this list of New Year’s Eve Party Recipes.
Fireworks are not only a part of 4th of July celebrations, they are becoming increasingly popular on New Year’s eve. So why not try your hand at using luster dust to paint some fireworks onto a chocolate ganache covered brownie to serve at your New Year’s party? Recipe here.
This rice krispies treat party hat is very versatile. Create stripes, stars, or even “2012” instead of polka dots to decorate your hat. You can make any color hat by changing out the food coloring or type of chocolate. I think a black hat (using dark chocolate instead of white chocolate) decorated with white stars would look amazing for a New Year’s Eve celebration. Recipe here.
Make these chocolate hats look like top hats by simply eliminating the gold buckle. Fill with chocolate mousse and serve for dessert or fill with candy to give as party favors. You can even add “2012” to your hats by cutting numbers out of modeling chocolate or by creating a banner out of modeling chocolate and writing on it with a food coloring marker. Brush some silver luster dust onto your decorations to really make these top hats sparkle. Recipe here.
If you are hosting a kid’s party and having a sleep over, why not serve these peanut butter and apple filled tortillas for breakfast or a midnight snack? Recipe here.
Instead of making X’s and O’s out of this pizza pinwheel recipe, make “2012.” Recipe here.
