Personalized Fortune Cookie Cake

September 23, 2014 This post may contain affiliate links.

If you could put your own fortune inside a Fortune Cookie Cake, what would it say? Personalize this large homemade fortune cookie with your favorite saying for a beautiful tasty treat!

I always hope to find something inspiring when I crack open a fortune cookie, like “a dream you have … will come true.” When I made this cake a few weeks ago, I was feeling pretty lucky that I was living this fortune.

Years ago, while I was in the middle of the Easter season at my store, and had made my 1000th chocolate Egg, I remember daydreaming about making something new every day, instead of mass-producing the same thing. I’m living that dream these days and loving it.

Even when what I’m creating has interesting challenges, I am happy trying something new. I made this cake for Tablespoon.com, and had to create a unique technique in order to get this cake covered so that it looked like a real fortune cookie. I might have struggled with this at first, but even when that happens I’m excited to be doing what I love every day.

Stop by Tablespoon.com to see the tutorial so you too can personalize a Fortune Cookie Cake for someone you love.
