It is gloomy and gray here today and I am so very tired. I just spent the past few weeks having fun with Katya, the girl (woman, now actually) who was our foreign exchange student 8 years ago and also the illustrator for Hungry Halloween. She traveled to the states on September 1st to stay with us and returned home yesterday. During her visit we shopped a lot, painted pottery three times, rode bikes when the weather was nice, took long walks even in the rain, visited the aquarium and got to pet penguins, made chocolate and ate too much, played games all day at Dave and Busters, and spent two days at an indoor water park. It was fun, but a bit exhausting for this middle aged woman! During her stay, I squeezed in a bit of time to finish writing my last blog post, but didn’t have even a minute to work on any new ideas. So that I don’t go a week without a new post, I’ll share a recap of recipes from my blog, Hungry Halloween, today and will also share three recipes from my cookbook, Hungry Halloween, during the week.
I will be back next week with a new and hopefully exciting recipe for Halloween – I need to get my thinking cap on and get back into the kitchen.
