Cookie Decorating Tips and Tricks

Published: Aug 29, 2016 · Recipe by: Beth · This post may contain affiliate links.

Hi everyone!  It’s Kim, The Partiologist, visiting Hungry Happenings with cookie decorating tips and tricks.  I’ve been making cookies for as long as I can remember and through the years I have learned so much.  Today I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite.  So here goes…

Cookie Decorating Tips & Tricks

Cookie Decorating Tips and Tricks from The Partiologist. See how to make your own cookies cutter, create edible lace, imprint fondant, and more.

First of all, did you know you can make your own cookie cutter?

That’s exactly how I made the hotdog cookies, don’t you think they would be a hit for a Labor Day Picnic?

In this post I show from start to finish how to make the cutter and decorate the cookies.

Here’s a peek into the making of the cutter.

And the making of the cookie.

Before the summer is over, I hope you find the time to make lace flower cookies.

Using two of my favorite techniques, cake lace and airbrush, I was able to bake a bouquet of flowers.

Here’s how I started.

Or perhaps you’re into sunflowers?

Making the center a brownie and the petals into cookies, you’ll have a dessert to feed a crowd!

In the tutorial, I show how to paint the cookies and give you a free template.

Next is one of my favorite cookies… the Birthday cookies.

It’s really a very simple technique, using fondant to cover your cookies.

If you’ve ever played with play dough, you can make these cookies!

Not only do I show you how to make fondant covered cookies, I show you how to make this same design with chocolate covered OREO’s.

The next cookie decorating style, is knitting.

It won’t be long until it’s sweater weather.

These cookies will be sure to keep you warm, inside and out.

A little peek into the process.

I love making cookies for Fall, this time using only one decorating tip.

Yes, only ONE.

In this tutorial I show how to decorate each of the three leaf cookies shown below using one decorating tip.

I hope you enjoyed the cookies I’ve shared and even had time to take a look at the complete tutorials.

I would love for you to sign up to receive more fun and festive food ideas from The Partiologist delivered to your inbox.  It’s cookies and a whole lot more!

Thank You BETH, for letting me post on your blog today, I sure had a great time and I hope your readers did too!

Happy Baking and Cookie Decorating!
