Give your family a surprise when you lay these cookies on display. These Christmas Ornament Gingerbread Cookies look so real people will be wondering why they aren’t on your tree.
It’s been a very busy month in my kitchen and I’m happy to be making some things that can easily be frozen and pulled out on Christmas eve. We are hosting an open house and I want to work ahead so that I’m not crazy the last few days before the party. Of course, these cookies may just not make it that long. I keep sneaking them out of the freezer, and snacking on them. I used Betty Crocker Gingerbread Cookie Mix and their tubes of Cookie Icing to make and decorate these cookies. You’d never know they were not made from scratch. They have the most wonderful gingerbread flavor.
The cookie design was inspired by Marian of Sweetopia. I just love the variety of patterns made by simply swirling the colored cookie icing. You can see how I made this quick and easy version of these Christmas Ornament Gingerbread Cookies over at Tablespoon.com.
