Brownie Cheesecake Topped with Strawberry Gelée

April 17, 2016 This post may contain affiliate links.

Indulge in this decadent yet refreshing dessert that has layers of ooey gooey brownie cheesecake
topped with a fresh strawberry gelée.

The combination of chocolate and strawberry is a classic, but this brownie cheesecake puts those flavors together in a fresh way. Indulge in layers of decadently rich chocolate brownie topped with luscious strawberry cheesecake mousse and a refreshing strawberry gelée.

Every once in a while I make a dessert that I have a hard time sharing, and this was one of them. After my first bite, I just knew I couldn’t give it away. I was in love and wanted it all for myself.

I make a lot of desserts and usually enjoy a small sampling before giving them away. It’s not that I don’t love eating what I make, I do, but there would be no room for me to eat real food if I consumed every sweet treat that came out of my kitchen.  It’s just too much.

Plus, I really do enjoy sharing. It brings me great joy to see the smile on the face of someone indulging in one of my homemade treats.

Chocolate brownie topped with light and fluffy strawberry cheesecake mousse and a refreshing strawberry gelée.

So, when I become protective of a dessert, you know it’s good, really good.

I am a big fan of the combination of chocolate and strawberries, and when you throw some cheesecake mousse into the mix, it’s over the top.

This dessert is topped with a strawberry gelée, which tastes a bit like strawberry preserves, but has a firmer texture, so that it doesn’t just run off the dessert. It’s like a really fresh and somewhat soft version of Jell-O.

If you can find really ripe strawberries, you can make the dessert using them, otherwise, use frozen ones. That way you can make this any time of year.

You give such a good description of this beautiful dessert that I can see why you’d want to keep it for yourself. I love strawberries and get really happy when I see them paired with chocolate. It seems that raspberries usually get that gig..and I don’t care for them. So yay for some Brownie Cheescake Strawberry Gelee! 🙂

Thanks, Karen. I can’t wait to make this again and actually share it with family and friends. I love raspberries too, but agree with you that strawberries are just meant to be paired with chocolate.
