Treat your kids to a really special back to school snack. Baking them a Brownie Chalkboard will really brighten their day.

This Brownie Chalkboard is so cute and really pretty easy to make. It will be such a fun back to school snack for kids or a great treat to bring to your child’s teacher for Teacher’s Appreciation Day or any day.

To make this chalkboard I baked a decadently rich brownie then topped it with luscious chocolate ganache. Sounds amazing, right?

I made it even better by adding a border of peanut butter frosting.

Brownie Chalkboard - fun back to school snack or amazing teacher's gift.

Is your mouth watering yet?

You don’t have to turn this brownie into a chalkboard if you don’t want to, but it’s so darn cute, so let’s do it.

I made my chalkboard appropriate for school but you could put just about anything on your chalkboard. With the chalk dust all over the top, it looks pretty real and you can draw or write your own special message or just make it look like a chalkboard you’d see in school.

Want to see how you can make one of these Brownie Chalkboards too?

Oh my goodness! Beth, this is the COOLEST! I am always charmed by chalkboard treats and your brownie is awesome! I wondered how you got the “smeared” chalk on the frosting and after hopping over to Dixie Crystals, I found my answer! This would make some kiddos (and adults) happy at our Co-op! 🙂
