Crack open this egg and watch these Homemade Marshmallow Easter Chicks hatch! This easy recipe is the perfect party craft for your kids and family. They also serve as great Easter Basket treats, and these homemade treats can’t compare to the store bought ones!
If you have never made or even tasted a homemade marshmallow, you really must. I’m a huge fan of Peeps and even enjoy eating the conical marshmallows out of a bag, but those really don’t compare to a fresh batch of the billowy soft candy made in your own kitchen.
Plus, when you make your own marshmallows you can color and flavor them as you like and even cut them into fun shapes. When I made this batch of candy, I had so many Easter cookies cutters I could have used, but decided on a plain egg, knowing I could turn that simple shape into a really cute chick.
