Make a look-a-like pizza that’s sweet instead of savory to serve for dessert on your next pizza night. This Cookie Pizza is topped with white chocolate ganache cheese and fruit leather pepperoni plus candy sausage, green peppers and olives.

When I was asked by Dixie Crystals to create a cookie pizza I immediately had a flashback to college. I made my first cookie pizza back then and was so excited to share it with my friends. They were all so surprised how much the sweet dessert pizza looked like the real deal.
I fondly remember baking the cookie in the oven in the lounge of my dorm. I didn’t have the fancy equipment I do now so I had to hand cut all my candy toppings. I painstakingly cut out candy pepperoni, green peppers, olives, and even mushrooms.
For this pizza, I decided to add sausage and skip the mushrooms.
I used strawberry fruit leather to make the pepperoni, green gumdrops for the green peppers, peanut butter and chocolate coated rice krispie clusters became my sausage, and soft black licorice turned into black olives.
At first I didn’t want to use the black licorice because I thought the flavor would be totally out of place, but it seriously was the best option for getting nice round little black olive slices so I went with it. I was happily surprised that the flavor really blended well with the sugar cookie crust, the strawberry preserves sauce, the white chocolate ganache cheese, and the other candy toppings.
If you just can’t do black licorice, my suggestion would be to make your olives from black candy clay. Actually you could make all the toppings using Candy Clay if you prefer using it over the candy.
