My guests all had a great time, and those that watched the movie for the first time are looking forward to the sequel too.
Captain America M&M’s Cookie Cake
1 baked jumbo cookie (I made a chocolate chip cookie)
red, white and blue M&M’s
Frost the top of your baked cookie cake with bright white frosting.
Start by creating a ring of red M&M’s around the outer edge of the cookie. Then add another row of red, two rows of white, and two more rows of red. Them fill in the entire middle with blue M&M’s.
To finish the cookie shield, you need to add a white star to the center. I didn’t think the star would have the right shape if I just used M&M’s, so instead, I cut a star out of white modeling chocolate and attached it with a small amount of frosting.
Once I finished decorating my cookie, I had lots of left over M&M’s.
So I lined the bottom of a few star shaped boxes with the orange, green, yellow and brown M&M’s then put the red, white and blue ones on top so my table looked really patriotic. You can see a green one hiding down in the right corner.
I did the same thing with my Captain America White Chocolate Jar. It held a lot of candy, and I only needed a small amount of red and blue M&M’s to pile on top.
I love making chocolate jars, buckets, cups, boxes, and bowls to fill with candy and have been doing it for many years. People love them. The best thing about these edible candy jars is how easy they are to personalize. Adding Captain America’s shield to this candy jar really made it the perfect addition to my dessert table, and it was pretty easy to make.
